Weight loss Tips

I am unlikely to be updating the blog over the next week or so and I thought it might be good to share some weight loss tips to keep things going while I am gone. I will put some of mine up and it would be great if others coudl contribute theirs, thank you.

1. Write down what you are eating
2. Reduce your portion size
3. Eat a little bit of what you fancy (but not too much if it is unhealthy)
4. Keep a constant track of your weight so you can identify what you are doing right and wrong
5. Drink green tea
6. Exercise more
7. Give yourself non food treats when you do well
8. Set yourself small targets to help keep you motivated
9. Work with a friend so you can motivate each other
10. Only eat food if it is 'worth the calories'

I have found that the very best thing for me has been this blog as I have to share with the whole world things I have eaten and naughty things I have done! I would love to know what works for you.

I wrote a free ebook about what worked for me! Basically I cut out all added sugar, switched to whole grains, and balance each meal across the food groups. And I exercise 3 times a week. It is going well- I have dropped down from a size 18 to 11!!

i agree specially #9 when your exercise becomes boring, you need to refresh your routine like having a partner. great post!

A year and one half ago I started volunteering as a dog walker at my neighborhood SPCA. I go in every Wed afternoon and walk, stroll, scamper and run the pups.

I lost 7 lbs in the first two months and have never gained it back. This is a total feel-great workout I never miss.

That is fantastic. I expect to start losing more weight when the children start playgroup next month. I will drop them off then do my normal walk into town. Then return home and have to pick them up again just before lunch. I expect the walk will only be about 20 mins extra to normal but I am hoping that will make some difference as I will be doing it every day.
