Day Three

FOOD AND DRINK :

50g avocado and cucumber in sandwich with small slices bread

Packet of crisps, 2 biscuits and cup of decaffeinated tea with milk

Pasta with home made courgette, red pepper and onion sauce
2 fish fingers, carrots and French beans

I lost two pounds

Well I weighed this morning and I have lost another two pounds that takes me down to 11 stone and 8 pounds. I am thrilled as this sort of positive start will help to encourage me to continue.

Weight Progress

I know that some people say you shouldn't weigh yourself at all and others once a week. However, I find it much better if I weigh every day as it lets me know whether i am doing the right thing. I am a pound less today and 11stone 10 pounds. It still sounds like a massive weight but at least it is lower than it was yesterday.

Day One

Food and Drink :

Breakfast - 100 calories
Weetabix and semi-skimmed milk and Green Tea
Elevenses - 180 calories
Half a Small Banana with 250 ml Red grape/raspberry & Cherry Juice
Lunch - 205 calories
Two small slices bread with 4 slices Quorn ham and mustard
Raw red pepper, carrot and cucumber sticks
Cup of decaffeinated tea with milk
Afternoon - 80 calories
2 spelt bread sticks and green tea
Evening Meal - 470 calories
Baked Potato with Quorn chicken style dippers, broccoli, broad beans and sweetcorn.
Green tea
Evening Snack - 175 calories
40g sugar-free Museli with 50ml semi-skimmed milk
Cup of decaffeinated tea with milk
TOTAL CALORIES : 1210

Exercise :
Slow walk for 1 hour

All About Cravings

I was reading an interesting article in The Sunday Times about cravings. It said that a lot of people give in to their cravings assuming that it is due to a lack of nutrients. However, there is no scientific evidence to back this up. They thing that cravings are more likely caused by the fact that you are restricting your intake of a particular food and so your brain decides that it wants it because you are telling it that it can't.

My Plan of Action

My plan of action is to cut down on my calorie intake and increase my exercise my making sure that I walk each day and use the exercise machine a little each day. I want to make sure that I fill up on low calorie and healthy fruit and vegetables and reducing my unhealthy snacking. I want to also make sure that I balance my meals as best I can trying to cut down the carbs and make sure there is some low fat protein in each meal. I try to cook healthy meals for the children anyway but my downfall is snacking in between meals and eating the left overs. I am not intending on cutting out my snacks but just having smaller ones and more healthy things.

Welcome to my weight loss blog. I though that it might inspire me to lose weight in a healthier and more effective manner if I blogged my progress, so her I am! At the moment I weigh 11 stone 11 pounds and I am 5ft 7inches so I am 13 pounds overweight. I would ideally like to get down to 10 stone.
