Weight Loss Review

Now I have reached my weight loss goal it has made me think about all of the Weight Loss Tips that I have come across and what has really helped. I think that the things that have helped me most are not those little tips about low calorie foods, Colon Cleanse, diet pills etc. The things that helped me were as follows. I found that keeping a track of my progress on my blog was extremely useful and although I have reached my goal, I plan to continue doing that. I found that my Mothers heart condition frightened me into doing more exercise and getting to a healthy weight. I think the last motivation for me was seeing how much better I looked, which should not really be a factor but probably secretly is for all of us. I think that counting calories is the only thing that works for me but you may find that by doing some Diet Reviews you may find something which suits you better. Just make sure that it incorporates a healthy balanced diet, so that you keep in good health.

I just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone and good luck to those who have made new years resolutions to lose weight or get fitter. Write down your goal and keep focussing on it and you will achieve it.

Unwell

Well I was feeling really unwell last night and took several lots of medicine to stop me being sick. I didn't eat too much today as a result but might be having some nibbles this evening while I see in the new year as I am feeling better tonight.

Update

Well my weight went down a bit to 9 stone 9.4 today. I have not much of an appetite after nursing my sick son all night. Fortunately all the boys seem a lot brighter today which is good. My husband lost loads of weight from the nasty bug and is now under 15 stone which he is really happy about.

Update

Sorry for the lack of posts but the family have still been unwell and we had to miss a party yesterday and one of the children had a tummy bug which my husband now has. I did find time to weigh this morning and considering that I was using up all of the left overs yesterday I was surprised that it was only 9 stone 10.8 pounds. I am eating sensibly today (so far!) and have had a walk already so am starting to increase my exercise now I am feeling well again.

Weight update

After being unwell all over Christmas, my husband didn't have much of an appetite and did very well only putting on a little weight - he is now 15 stone 4.6 pounds, which is fantastic.

On the other hand I felt much better and had a huge appetite and therefore was very nervous about weighing, especially as there are still delicious left overs in the fridge. I was pleasantly surprised when I weighed and I was 9 stone 8.8 pounds.

Update

What with buying all the food for Christmas today and looking after unwell children and husband (and myself!) I forgot to update this blog. I cannot remember my exact weight today but it was just over 9 stone 6 so it went up a bit which is good. My husbands was 15 stone 5.4 I think.

Things are going to get busy now as it is my wedding anniversary tomorrow, so a day with the family and I will be cooking a special lunch and we have a few gifts and cards so that will be nice. Then Christmas Eve we are off to the inlaws which will be lovely as I can relax and do not have to help. Then back home on Boxing Day straight after breakfast to get ready for my family for lunch (there will be 12 of us) and then the next day we are visiting friends and the day after we are attending a family party. After that we get a break with my husband off work until the 2nd January and the children back at play group on the 5th January. I just hope it will be enough time for everyone to get properly over their colds.

Latest News

I am still trying to unsuccessfully stop losing weight. I am now down to 9 stone 5.6 pounds. I ate a 500 calorie bar of chocolate yesterday as a nice treat as well as a bag of crisps because I was hungry in town. It seems so odd - I have never tried to put on weight before.

My husband lost a bit and is down to 15 stone 5.4 which is good.

Thursdays News

I tried to put on a bit of weight yesterday and had a toasted cheese sandwich for lunch and a cheese sauce on pasta, because I had gone below my target of 9 stone 7 pounds. This morning I had gone down even more to 9 stone 6.2 pounds. I have decided that it isn't dangerously low and so considering that I am likely to put on weight next week, I will not try to put on weight but not try to lose it either.

My husband put on weight to 15 stone 5.8 pounds after finding that chocolate biscuits and Christmas cake were the only things that his throat could cope with. He is still unwell today so I think it is important for him just to eat what he feels he can cope with.

Thursday Report

My husband was unwell yesterday and didn't eat much - his weight is down to 15 stone 5.2 pounds.I feel asleep after watching lots of Christmas cooking programs and was dreaming about mince pies, chocolate and Christmas pudding. Luckily I didn't bake or eat anything and my weight went down to 9 stone 6.6 pounds. This is a bit lower than my target weight so I will have to be careful not to lose any today.

No, I am NOT Pregnant!

I was shopping today and got asked by someone who I see quite often, if I was pregnant. I have been asked this in the past, even before I had the boys but always when I was overweight. I had assumed that once I lost weight I would not get this sort of comment any more. It makes me wonder if my posture is a problem. I was wearing a big buckled belt under a mac which had a belt but I still didn't think it looked that bad.

Wednesday Report

I was not feeling that well again and was home with the boys, which I will be again today and tomorrow I expect. I ate sensibly though and my weight was down to 9 stone 8 pounds. My husband had a Christmas party but was sensible and weighed in at 15 stone 6.4 pounds.

Tuesday's News

I was flat out yesterday what with taking the boys to play group and then nursing them in the afternoon as they were poorly because they had returned too soon and going into town with my husband which left me no time for the urgent work I had to do. In the end I delegated the job of cooking to Dominos. My husband was good and had a steam meal instead and his weight went down to 15 stone 6.2. I had 3/4 of a personal veggie pizza and 1.5 onion and cheese stuffed potatoes. My weight was up to 9 stone 8.4 pounds.

Monday Report

I felt a bit more like eating yesterday and my weight stayed the same at 9 stone 7.8. My husband must have felt the same as he put on weight and is now 15 stone 7.2 pounds. I am getting concerned as he keeps putting on weight at the moment, I think he needs to get back to exercising and he will be walking a bit today which should help.

Weight Update

I didn't eat a lot yesterday due to having such a sore swollen throat so my weight went down again to 9 stone 7.8 pounds. My husband put on a bit of weight and is 15 stone 6.2.

Todays Weight

I didn't eat that much yesterday and this morning, after having had a glass of water my weight was 9 stone 9.4. My throat is very swollen today and I do not have much of an appetite so I think I will just eat anything I fancy really.I will be sucking a lot of sweets too so it is likely that my calories will be high.

Late Update

It is a bit of a late update today because I am unwell and everything is taking that much longer than normal. I managed to put on weight yesterday and I am now 9 stone 10.8 my husband lost weight, despite having a Christmas lunch at work and he is now 15 stone 5.6 pounds, which was good as he worked hard not to overeat during the rest of the day.

Calories 11th December

I did not have time to keep a proper track of what I ate today and I felt unwell later in the days (I think I have the children's colds) and did not have much of an appetite. I think I did okay and probably had about 1000 calories or less. It wasn't very balanced as I did not have any vegetables except a raw carrot or cook a meal tonight as the boys were too poorly to eat much. I did have 3 different fruits so I suppose that was pretty good!

Yesterday

I was alone in a town full of tempting foods and went a bit mad yesterday. Especially after my Dad telling me he was really worried about me losing such a large amount of weight and thinking I was going to turn into a bulimic. I just wish that more people coudl apprecaite the hard work I am putting in and how much healthier I am now,

Anyway down to the nitty gritty. My husband lost weight and is down to 15 stone 5.8 but I went up to 9 stone 10.8.

Target Reached!

My weight is 9 stone 9 pounds exactly this morning and I am so happy! I have reached my target weight at last. I have decided to lose a few more pounds before Christmas - it would be nice to be able to think that I am nine and a half stone and also have a bit of a buffer for all of that Christmas food! I am visiting my Mum today so despite the fact that I am going to be doing a walk which will be my first bit of exercise for a while, I am likely to be fed lots of food, so I will have to be very careful. My husband was tempted by chocolate yet again and his weight went up to 15 stone 6.4 pounds.

Weight Report

I was so busy yesterday that I had no time to exercise and with the boys poorly and off play group, I did not even get a walk. Being busy also meant that I had no time to eat so I managed to lose one pound and am thrilled to say that I now weight 9 stone 9.8 pounds. My husband on the other hand was very naughty eating a mince pie, chocolate bar, crisps and another chocolate bar on top of his normal food and somehow managed to only put on .2 pounds and so is 15 stone 5.6 today.

Monday Morning Weigh In

We were both a bit nervous this morning. Although we were careful over the weekend and missed a lot of snacks, the main meals were not that healthy and I did no exercise (my husband did a 3 hour walk). Despite this my weight is still 9 stone 10.8 which I am really pleased about and my husband has gone down to 15 stone 5.4 and he is thrilled.

Todays Update

My weight went down to 9 stone 10.8 which was not as low as I had hoped for the party but I am still happy especially considering that I completely forgot to exercise yesterday as I was so busy. My husband is now 15 stone 7 due to another naughty chocolate bar. I am trying to be good this weekend but with a very late meal this evening and then a birthday party tomorrow, realistically it is unlikely that I will do well. I will be healthy this morning and for lunch and try to be restrained tomorrow but we will just have to see how it goes.

Weight Going Down Again

I lost a pound yesterday which was great, so I am now 9 stone 11 pounds. My husband is now 15 stone 6.4 pounds so he lost just a little bit. He did quite a bit of walking which was lucky as he was tempted by a chocolate bar! He will be having a cooked breakfast at work today so we shall see what that does to his weight tomorrow!

A Lucky Weight Loss Day!

Yesterday I was at my Mums and did not eat sensibly. However my weight did go down just a little bit to 9 stone 12 pounds (which I think was more luck than anything else!) I have little chance of reaching my 9 stone 9 target by Saturday but I have two days to get it back down a bit. My husband was pretty good and his weight went down to 15 stone 6.8.

Oh Dear - Weights Back Up

My husband went up to 15 stone 7.6 and I went up to 9 stone 12.4 pounds. He had a naughty day at work as someone brought in chocolates and he also snacked in the evening. I had that day of the month when I tend to just give myself an excuse to eat! Oh dear....

Down Some More!

My weight has gone down a bit more to 9 stone 10.8 and my husbands is 15 stone 6.4. I am pleased with myself as I am working hard this week and it is really paying off.
