I had a bit of an eating disaster at the end of the week and my weight is now, the same as it was at the beginning of last week = 9 stone 10.4 pounds. What happened was that my blood sugar feel very low due to eating so little at the beginning of the week and then I had to eat a lot to get it back up. I noticed that while my blood sugar was low, I was unable to function as well meaning that I did not feel like doing so much exercise and I could not think very well and so got behind with my work.
Because of this I have decided to make some changes to what I am doing. I am going to eat two pieces of bread with my lunch instead of one. Try to have balanced snacks as well as meals so have protein, carbohydrate and fruit/veg in each snack as well as in each meal.
I am trying to think of what sorts of things to have and have decided that fruit with yoghurt and puffed oats, oatcakes with peanut butter and jam, shredded wheat with milk and some dried apricots, carrot sticks and toast fingers with houmous and an apple with a wholegrain biscuit and cheese.
I have been afraid of having too much fat and so have avoided cheese, houmous and things like that but I think I need to be brave and experiment with these healthy foods to try to get the right blood sugar balance and weight because obviously I have been cutting back too much and then binge eating on rubbish which will not do me any good at all.
