The weight loss has not been going well and recently I went up to 9 stone 13 pounds. I am at the moment having a competition with my husband to see who can lose ten pounds the quickest. He is ahead at the moment having gone up to 15 stone he is desperate to get back down to 14 stone 7 which is the lowest he has been and then he wants to go below that. I am hoping that the extra walking I will be doing once the boys get back to school in a few weeks, will help me to lose some weight and to keep it off better. I also aim to get back to using the exercise machine, which I know I have said before, but I mean it this time! I have a whole new routine planned once the boys holiday is over, so hopefully it will be healthier eating, more exercise and more work - so I earn more, eat less and exercise more. Should be great!

Update
Well my weight went down to 9 stone 10 6 after eating sensibly for a few days. However, after a weekend of being tempted by butter, cheese and cream my weight is back up to 9 stone 12 pounds today. I was trying to eat sensibly and only had cream one of the three times it was offered and tried to use the reduced fat butter whenever it was offered as an alternative to butter.
We were actually trying to set a good example because my Mother in Law has had heart problems but has not been given any advice with regards to how she should be changing her diet to stop it happening again. We had a chat to them about food but they made all sorts of silly excuses and it made us cross - it is tricky to get someone to change the way they enjoy eating but we get so worried about them. They even said, if they die earlier it means we will get our inheritance quicker so we should stop worrying - what a silly thing to say. We did our best to lead by example, eating plenty of fruit and vegetables and trying not to have seconds but it was hard! When they come to us for meals we will just have to keep giving them healthy foods and hope that they enjoy them enough to recreate them.

News
Well I have been gorging myself lately and not exercising much and my weight was up to 9 stone 13 pounds. The closeness to ten stone was enough of a shock to get me thinking about how nhealthy I have been being as well as what a bad influence I have been on the children, feeding them biscuits and crisps. I was therefore much better behaved yesterday and today. I decided to set myself a calorie goal of 1500 because I am hoping that I will be able to stick to this better rather than having a few good days and then a bad one on a lower calorie allowance. Yesterday my weight went down to 9 stone 12.2 pounds which was good. Today I was out and so I had less control over what I was eating but I was still happy with my progress and I managed a long walk both days. Hopefully the scales will be kind again tomorrow!

Update
I tried to be good over the weekend and my weight is now at 9 stone 11.6 pounds again. I really want it to go down but am a bit stressed at the moment and that is causing me to comfort eat and we have lots of tempting food in the house at the moment which is not helping. I think that the lack of hill walking is not helping but I need to find a solution as I have another five and a half weeks before the boys start school and so I will not be doing that walk for all of that time. I did do the exercise machine today and walk into town but I have also eaten far too much food already! I must start getting back to sensible healthy eating.....
